Growing up in Burnaby, Rick’s packaging career began at 15 years old, spending his weekends and summers working at Belkin Packaging. He was promoted into customer service and then sales, where the foundation was laid to understand the needs and expectations of customers. In 1986, Rick joined a local, privately owned packaging company where he enhanced his skills through continuous education. Rick held many different management positions, culminating as Vice President. In 1995 Rick was responsible for construction and start up of a 200,000 square foot, fifty million dollar manufacturing facility in Seattle, WA.
Rick’s philosophy “focus on your people, for how you treat them, will reflect on how your customers are treated” is the basis for Ideon’s success. As a result of Rick’s early introduction to the packaging industry and the varied roles he held, Rick has accumulated a vast range of business knowledge that continues to flourish in today’s ever changing environment.
David McNamara
Vice President, Sales and Marketing

David’s packaging career began in 1985 working in production at Domtar Packaging in Richmond BC. David then moved into sales, where he discovered that his passion was in assisting customer with their packaging needs. In 1994, David was transferred to Northern California to build a regional sales office for a large, independent packaging manufacturer. His areas of expertise expanded into Retail Packaging, CD Rom Replication, folding cartons and automation. David, originally from Tsawwassen, now resides in South Surrey with his wife Kathy and sons Riley and Tyson.

Timothy F. Dwane
Director / Officer
Tim’s multi faceted career includes
sales, management and ownership of many companies, including
Crown Packaging, Boxmaster and Top Producer. Tim began his
career in 1967 in Montreal and Toronto selling corrugated
products. In 1976 Tim relocated to Vancouver and continued
his successful career in sales for Belkin Packaging. In 1981,
Tim acquired the assets of a corrugated container plant in
Richmond, B.C. to form Boxmaster. From modest beginnings Tim
built and managed the business in the Pacific Northwest from
$600,000 in revenues to $400 million. Tim believes that the
foundation of any business is its people.

Lee Barker
Sales Team Leader

After owning and operating a successful furniture manufacturing company, Lee began in the packaging industry in 1988. He started in sales and marketing and evolved to Sales Manager by 1994, where his leadership was instrumental in doubling revenues.
Lee has extensive training in organizational effectiveness, leadership instruction and cultural development. Additional interests and pursuits include working with underprivileged children and fundraising for those less fortunate. Lee currently resides in North Langley with his wife Wendy, daughter Alison and son Daniel.

Steven Baier
Automation and Design

Steve is a graduate of Industrial Design from Fanshawe College in London, Ontario.
Steve’s career in packaging has included developing and managing both Graphic and Structural design studios throughout Canada and the Pacific Northwest.
Steve played an integral role in the building of Ideon’s new facility in Richmond.
That experience, combined with his structural design knowledge, gives Steve the fundamentals to assist our customers with their automation and production needs.
Steve enjoys spending time with his wife Marcy, family and friends, along with golf, music, travel and fine wines.

Susan Kind
Customer Service Team Leader

Susan started her career in the corrugated
industry in 1990. She held a variety of positions, gaining
knowledge in all aspects of production, shipping, administration
and trans border documentation. Through the years Susan has
become an expert in all facets of corrugated packaging including
retail, P.O.P. and folding cartons. She most recently held
the position of Customer Service Supervisor before joining
Ideon. Susan lives in North Delta with her husband Rodger
and they keep busy with their houseful of pets.

Matt Dwane
Sales Team Member

Matt attended the University of Humboldt State in Northern California on a Football Scholarship. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management as well as two minors, one in Kinesiology and the other in Leadership; Matt also completed the Dale Carnegie Leadership Program. These skills, along with his experience at high level team sports, make Matt a valuable asset to the Sales Team at Ideon Packaging.
Matt’s extra curricular activities include playing football and golf. He has recently retired from Lacrosse, which he played professionally for the Vancouver Ravens, Anaheim Storm and the Portland Lumber Jacks.
Raised in Richmond, Matt currently resides in Steveston, with his wife Emily and daughter Paige.

Dan Martin

Dan, who grew up in South Delta, started his career in packaging in 1986 with a BC owned and operated company. Dan has lived in San Diego, San Francisco and Seattle where he successfully managed sales territories in the extremely competitive retail packaging segment; which includes the High Tech, Nutraceutical, Food and Beverage industries.. This experience gives Dan the ability to help customers successfully position their products in any retail market from large Club Stores to small niche retailers.
Dan lives in Point Roberts with his wife Sandy and boys Landon and Tanner. His interest include, boating, skiing, golfing and all outdoor activities.

Mike Nunn
Operations Team Leader

Mike, originally from New Westminster, graduated from the Marketing Management Program at the British Columbia Institute of Technology in 2001. His career started in the pneumatics industry, where his roles included customer service, inside sales and inventory control. Since moving to Ideon in 2002, Mike has focused on inside sales, customer service, inventory control and more recently, operations. Mike lives in South Surrey with his wife Kylie and values the time he spends reading, playing ultimate, roller hockey and golf.

Tim Koutsandreas
Controller

Tim, a certified management accountant (CMA), brings over 20 years of finance and accounting experience to Ideon. His career includes a senior position with the Loewen group and accounting management position at the Corporation of Delta. This experience allows Tim to excel in managing Ideon’s financial systems and processes. Outside of work Tim, who grew up in Kitsilano, enjoys sports, music and spending time with his wife and two kids.

Alicia Ho
Customer Service Team Member

Alicia’s career includes years of customer service experience, primarily in the hospitality and packaged goods industries. Alicia’s passion for looking after customer needs on a daily basis makes her a valuable team member at Ideon. Alicia grew up in Richmond and currently resides in Surrey. Outside interests include playing softball, ringette, camping and spending time with her family.

Cameron Christie
Design Services

In 2004, Cameron graduated from the Mechanical Engineering
Technician Program at Durham College in Ontario, and then
spent three years growing his skills in the extrusion die
design market. Cameron joined the Ideon Packaging Team
in 2008 after he and his wife decided to relocate to Vancouver. Cameron
brings strong CAD skills, a keen creative sense and a continuing
desire to learn new things to the Ideon Team. He resides
in Vancouver with his wife Meghan and their cat Blackjack. In
Cameron’s spare time he likes to play guitar, shoot
photography, work on cars, explore BC and relax with family
and friends.
