Bottle/Can Return Program
The employees of Ideon Packaging work together to collect and return all our bottles and cans from both work and home, of which all money collected through this program is used to support the less fortunate through our 4 the Kids fund. The Ideon team member who collects the most receives Earth Day off (April 22nd).
Office Paper Recycling
In 2007, Ideon Packaging diverted 23 cubic yards of recyclable materials from landfill, or a volume that would fill 12 full sized pickup trucks. Our recycling efforts sequestered approximately 4 tonnes of carbon emissions. Ideon continues to look at eliminating paper it uses in the office.
Production
Waste Recycling
The production of a corrugated box generates large amounts of scrap corrugated. Ideon collects all the scrap produced in our manufacturing processes, which is then recycled to eventually be converted into more corrugated boxes. Plastics such as stretch wrap and pallet straps are also recycled.
